Split Croatia

We docked just outside the city. We ate breakfast and headed into Split. We didn’t leave until 10:00 or 10:30. Christy and Leeman planned to take the kids to the beach which sounded like a great idea. John and I thought we would just head into town and see what was there. We wanted to see Diocletian’s Palace, and St Domnius Cathedral. It was only about 1/2 mile but felt like 500 miles. Luckily it was only 90 degrees today. I did buy a hat at the market because I swear it feels like my head is getting burned. There really isn’t as much to see at the palace. And forget pictures because it is so crowded–I am sure the heat didn’t help.

And of course John did his split in Split. He actually walked back to the sign after we had reboarded the ship. I stayed back and rested.

After everyone got back aboard we had a dinner in the main dining at San Marco Restaurant. Everything was great. We needed two tables to accommodate our large crowd. The kids had their own table and loved ordering themselves. After dinner we got some sunset pictures and then went to a show and enjoyed that. And from there we all went to bed.
